Tour of My Town

It seems to be Sunday night tradition to take a stroll about town with one of my roommates. These are a few sights that we've seen through the last few weeks.

Kimmie

My latest model, Kimmie... I'm starting to believe that the "not being photogenic" excuse is a myth! :) She looks soooo great!

Yes, I tell some stupid jokes... and that face says it all. :)

That was my favorite picture of the shoot..
And here is the link to her album. Enjoy!

Nighttime

A slight breeze blowing across my face. The faint shadowed mountain ridges barely visible against the blue-black sky. Silence, blessed silence... except the clicking of the shutter and the humming of my own thoughts. Nighttime photography is peaceful... solitary... meditative.

And what was I photographing in the darkness? A fantastic pool oasis built by none other than the family business; Gary Thull Pools, Inc. Be amazed, people. Cause my family rocks.

Kaitlin & Kelsey = K2

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting these two lovely young ladies. They are some friends who were gracious and patient during my "hold on one second" comments and sudden venue changes "Oh! the light!".
This is my favorite picture of the shoot. Because I have a "thing" with black and white photos.
Kaitlin being the model that I paid her to be. :) Okay, there was no money involved. But she really does look like a model.

And here's the link to the album. Enjoy!

The Beginning

Someone once told me that they did not like my favorite artist because "that's not reality." Of course, I defended him. I said that there are some moments so beautiful that they seem surreal. I know. I've travelled through places across the United States and parts of the world, and felt those moments of complete happiness and beauty. And those are the moments that inspire me towards photography. My goal is to capture those moments in film. Capture them so that we can remember them forever.

Thank you for checking out my photography blog. I hope you enjoy these photos as I seek to grow in skill and become adept at capturing moments of nature and people and time.
