Kelly - Sneak Peek!

With all the changes in this photography business, I haven't been getting my photos edited and published... with three senior shoots done, there are plenty of photos to share! And SOON, they will be up.

My first senior shoot... Kelly. With her startling blue eyes. And her love for music.

Here's your sneak peek!!

Cooper

It sounds like a bad country song... My dog died. And I never knew that it could hurt this bad. Or I could cry so many tears about an animal. But it does (hurt) and I did (cry). On Saturday morning, my dog died in an accident on the mountaintop.

Meet Cooper. He was about 5 years old in people years. :) A beautiful black lab/golden retriever mix. A true mountain dog.

One of my roommates made the sweetest little note for me about "Remember the Good Times." So that's what I'm gonna do.

Remember how Cooper would go crazy at every picnic & gathering, and then finally crash on the ground to pant and breath heavily for 30 minutes.. and soon enough, he'd be off!

Remember how everybody loved him! Called him names like, "Super-dooper-Cooper"... or my personal favorite, "Goofer."

Remember how he would do anything for food... even dance!

Remember how he was best buds.. with every other dog!

Remember how the best thing to do was use him as a pillow, or just stare into those brown eyes...

Remember how he loved his people, especially his boy, Zeph!

Remember how Dad would give him milk every morning "to make his coat shiny."
Remember how he would jump into the neighbor's pond to cool off on those hot summer days.
Remember how he was always ready and enthusiastic to go for a little hike.
Remembew hoe he would lay super-close to the woodstove, with the thick fur coat, and he seemed to like it.
Remember how his eyes would coerce us into giving him table scraps.
Remember how he would go visit the neighbors and we would find him sprawled out on their deck, just chillin'.
Remember how he would relive his adventures in his dreams, and we could watch his paws twitch and hear the faint barking as he slept.
Remember how he kept me warm on the cold winter nights.
Remember how all the little kids would play with him, lead him around like a pony, and even climb on his back.. and he didn't mind.

Remember how he was so content just to hang around people... he's just get sleepy.

I remember. Those were some good times.

Cooper, you were the best dog ever. I miss you.

Summertime

I miss summertime! As much as I looooooove Christmas (notice that I did not say "winter!"), summer is still my favorite. The green grass, warm breezes, picnics, lazy summer evenings, pretty late evening sunsets---I love it all. And I'm starting to get a little sad just thinking about it.... Hahaha, oh well, I have another 2 months of 'Christmas season' to enjoy and then 3ish months of cold Pennsylvania winter. So in the meantime, I will remember the glory days of summer!

I was checking all the photos that I have 'in line' for editing and posting.. and had totally forgotten about these little beauties! A few months ago, I was at my sister's on a late summer evening. And we decided to put the nieces in their little matching adorable outfits. And photo shoot! Enjoy!

I'm not sure why I love this pic so much.. but I do! Silly, adorable, lovable nieces!

(Better) School Pictures!

Again, I'm taking "school" pictures... let me introduce you to three very zany, goofy and downright hilarious kids! These three siblings are in my youth group, and honestly, they crack me up every week... errr, rather, every time I see their crazy faces. I just can't help but laugh at the hilariousness!

Meet Bubby. I call him, "The Witty Kid." Because this one has quick-tongued humor!

Meet Evan. His humor is of the random, weird, I-think-he-ate-too-much-sugar variety!

And this is Tiffany. She's not as CRAZY as her brothers. But she's a sweetheart. :) She just makes me smile!

All together!

And this is me saying to Evan, "I can tell when your eyes are crossed!" :)

And me saying to Evan, "Why are you laying on the ground?" :)

Seeee.. I told you these kids were funny!! :)

Last one...

Birthday Surprise!

I went on a road trip last weekend... Drove home Sunday afternoon and right to a youth small group meeting. Typical fun times. And the conversation turned to pet names. "If you had a cat, what would you name it?" There were a few Chuck Norris jokes. And in the course of the conversation, apparently I said to the youth (in a slightly alarmed voice), "You didn't get me a cat, did you???" They said, "NO." And it was the truth... just barely... :) I came home to this sign on my door.

And a couple roomies smiling like crazy.
And this little furry face staring at me!

After I stopped squealing with joy and AWWWWWing over the cuteness of this little kitten, the roomies handed me a card. It turns out --- my wonderful sis planned the whole thing! She knew... that I wanted another pet, that I didn't have time for a dog, that I wanted long-haired kittens, that I was concerned about affording its shots, etc.... And she thought of everything!! She found this sweet little long-haired kitten.

And alot of my friends & family contributed to the cause. And knew about the surprise. There was even one friend on the PHONE listening to my reaction.. hahaha.

I have spent the last few days playing with, talking to and cuddling with my sweet little kitten.... * big smiles* And I named him, Caspian! Because I like Narnian names. :) And he's my prince of a kitten!

It was the BEST birthday surprise ever!!
